as to candidates being unmarried, emoluments,

are as set out in the paper of particulars
enclosed in the letter from this
Department No.82809/31 of the 7th of
July, 1931, except that for the purposes
of local payment in the Colony the
sterling salary is now converted into
dollars at rates fixed from time to
Hongkong
time by the Colonial Government.
The
rate fixed for the present is the current
rate of exchange, subject to a maximum of
2s/- and a minimum of ls/- to the dollar.
